Crew: P/O Carr POW, the other six were initially buried at s’Hertogenbosch and are now buried in Bergen op Zoom War Cemetery

Crashed 3km S of Valkenswaard (Noord-Brabant), 10km S of Eindhoven, Holland.

t/o 2321 RAF Spilsby. Believed crashed in the North Sea off Overflakkee, Holland. The body of Sgt Bowes was washed up on the English coast, those buried in Holland washed up on the Dutch coast. FR Haslam did a X country with Sgt Wilson in this a/c on 27.5.44. Crew: all 8 KIA.

Shot up after crossing Dutch Coast in a schrage Musik attack and later abandoned near Henlow, Bedfordshire. The RG and B/A attempted a dual jump, but the RG broke free and was killed.
