The Council of Meeuwen-Gruitrode and the Association for the Study of Local History and Tradition De Reengenoten would like to invite you to the inauguration of the memorial dedicated to the 7 crew members of the British bomber Lancaster MkI ME683, belonging to 207 Squadron.

This ceremony will take place in the presence of the provincial governor, representatives of the Air Forces, relatives of the crew members, veterans of WWII, members of 207 Squadron RAF Association from England et al.

This special event on 8 May 2005 coincides with the 60th anniversary of the end of WWII

Mass at St Martin's of Meeuwen, graced by the choir Medua, conducted by Mrs Ria Daemen

Inauguration of the memorial on the hamlet Genits (Meeuwen)

Lunch for the guests presented by the Council of Meeuwen-Gruitrode at the meeting place 't Heem in Meeuwen.
