Ken Barnes' sister Sheila Christie had a mass said for her brother and the crew at her church, Parish of the Sacred Heart and St. Margaret Mary, Dereham, Norfolk on May 8 2005, the morning of the service in Meeuwen and the dedication of the memorial to the crew

Bruce Somers' sister Norah Alkins and her two sons Bill and James took part in the 207 Sqn Assocation visit to Meeuwen

Joe Mireault's brother in law Joe English (625 Sqn) and his nephew Allan English were located on a Canadian veterans trip to Europe and were able to attend the ceremonies in Meeuwen

Raphael De Casagrande's family turned out in force - two sisters and 31 other relatives of all ages; another sister would have come but for an accident at home.

Alvin Corless's 90 year old sister has subsequently been found. She is now blind and lives in a care home. Her husband died a couple of years ago. Alvin had another brother in the air force who survived the war but has since passed on.
