Roll of Honour Leicester Cathedral

The 207 Squadron Royal Air Force Roll of Honour, which lists those who died in whilst serving on No.7 Squadron RNAS or No.207 Squadron Royal Air Force, was deposited and dedicated in Leicester Cathedral on Sunday 5th November 1989. It was updated in 2001.

It is in a glass topped case in the south aisle of the Cathedral, beneath the Squadron's original Standard which was laid up there on Sunday 14th October 1984. It is presented as a 'day book', in month order. It does not include POWs or Evaders.

Original research for the Roll was done by Raymond Glynne-Owen, compilation by AVM David Dick, calligraphy by Mrs Vivien Holmes. Images are by Frank Haslam, in October & December 2004.

These website pages have been made possible with the cooperation of the staff of Leicester Cathedral, to whom many thanks - do visit the Cathedral. Please allow time for these on-line pages to load as they are each made up of several large images.

For a searchable version, based on the 207 Squadron RAF Association Members' Memorial Book published by AVM David Dick in August 1993, and including information from the Appendices of the Squadron History Always Prepared by John Hamlin, please click on Memorial Book on the left of your screen.

The on-line Members' Memorial Book is in alphabetical order and includes POWs, Evaders, age where known, and aircraft serial numbers where relevant.

There are some for whom there is no CWGC listing because their date of death is outwith the CWGC's time periods - for WWI, 1914-21; for WWII, 1939-1947.
