148 & 214 seeks those who knew him
26 Harold John Bromwich: Engine Mechanic on B29s during his
National Service, 1951-53, on 207: his daughter would like to
hear from anyone who was on the Squadron at the time
26 Pilot Officer Alfred J. Parkyn RCAF, service number J/16080,
and crew (EM-C, R5695) lost from Langar, 25 Nov 1942. Lt Col
Michael Parkyn USMC seeks those who knew him
26 Henry Hayden Hap Haszard was on 207 with members
Bill Angell and Nebby Wheeler and featured in a 1939 cartoon of
207s officers. His sister in law has made contact
26 Georges Pillot of Brisson seeks material: 15 Feb 1943,
Lancaster EM-M L7547 (F/Sgt John Whyte) of 207 Sqn Langar,
crashed near St Brisson, Nievre, France.
27 John Curnow 103 Sqn: members of his crew lie in Lavannes,
Marne, graveyard, killed 9th/10th March 1943, with 4 from
Lancaster EM-X W4172, 207 Sqn (F/Sgt Ivor Wood): Sgt George
Margetson, Sgt George Mortimore, Sgt Richard Warren, and F/Sgt
Ivor Wood. Sgt Gordon Brownhill and Sgt Richard Brown evaded and
Sgt William Lishman RCAF POW [Stalag 344 Lamsdorf, pow nr 27720].
